Jason worked in Toronto at Bridgepoint Hospital after graduating from LSSU with a Bachelor of Science in Therapeutic Recreation. There he designed personalized therapeutic programs for individuals in the Neuromuscular and Neurological Recovery Unit. His treatment programs were designed to minimize the debilitating effects of disorders like Muscular Sclerosis, Huntington’s disease, and Parkinson’s disease, as well as improve the abilities of stroke and head/brain injury patients throughout their recovery.
Committed to learn more about the human body and provide outstanding care for his clients, Jason has completed an additional 5 years of education in the Doctorate of Osteopathy (Manual Practitioner) program at the Canadian College of Osteopathy (CCO). The CCO in Toronto is a world renowned school known for its intensive anatomy study and its comprehensive methodology that is infused into each student. Since its beginning in 1991, there have only been 130 graduates who are now working in Ontario as D.O (M.P)’s. That’s roughly 10-12 graduating out of over 50 who begin the program each year. Jason is currently writing his Thesis (Dissertation) which is the final challenge in this extensive program and plans on joining the graduating class in April, 2011 to become a D.O. (M.P)
Here at Ultimate Sports Therapy, Jason incorporates Osteopathic Techniques and Assessment skills into his cranio-sacral practice to provide the most comprehensive manual therapy for all of his clients. He is now not only an expert in Neuromuscular and Neurological conditions, but is a leading expert on the recovery from spinal injuries, nerve compression, motor vehicle/whiplash related injuries, and general back pain.
