Jennifer Lamore RMT, BAA
Jennifer likes to say “she was born running”. Starting with track and field and soccer at an early age, she was always trying to outrun, out-throw, and out-jump somebody. When it came to soccer, she quickly learned how a team can succeed with perseverance and she took pride in representing her hometown on the field as player and eventually as a league referee.
Jennifer’s active lifestyle took its toll and her mother, a Registered Nurse, suggested Jennifer try massage and chiropractic care. It was through these treatments that Jennifer discovered she had scoliosis and she became aware that her body had to be respected.
Jennifer moved to Toronto to pursue a BAA at Ryerson. With this completed, she settled in downtown Toronto, working for a major department store. After weathering several company buyouts, Jennifer realized that somewhere along the way she had lost her passion for sports. After 10 years in the marketing and advertising world, Jennifer was burning out. She decided to make a career change. After much searching one thing always seemed to come up: massage therapy.
Jennifer is now a Registered Massage Therapist with the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario and a graduate from Sutherland-Chan School of Massage Therapy & Teaching Clinic. As a massage therapist, Jennifer helps clients with chronic and acute shoulder, back, hip, leg and foot pain/discomfort and injury rehabilitation, and enjoys providing massage at sports events. As well as providing relaxation massage and treatment to relieve chronic and acute pain, Jennifer also provides therapeutic relief to clients with issues such as hypertension, diabetes, spinal cord injuries/pathologies (Spinal stenosis, spinal cord crush/severance, MS), arthritis and fibromyalgia.
Jennifer has experience in prenatal massage and uses Medx Phototherapy (Laser), Ultrasound and Geothermal (Hot Stone) Therapies to accelerate recovery and to enhance the benefits of her massage treatments.
Since devoting her energies to massage, Jennifer has found the time and enthusiasm to foster her other passions, such as photography, painting and sports. Jennifer also enjoys the great outdoors, animals and summers at the family farm.
