Kate Stefan
Kate is a Certified Athletic Therapist. She graduated from Sheridan College's competitive Sports Injury Management program in 2005. She also has a Bachelor's degree in Physical Activity Studies from University of Regina, with a concentration in Fitness and Lifestyle Management.
Kate has worked with elite amateur and professional teams in many sports including wrestling, basketball, soccer, lacrosse and football. She has worked in multi-disciplinary clinics treating both athletes and the general public, as well as returning to Sheridan College for a semester to supervise the students in the teaching clinic.
Myofascial Release, Muscle Energy Techniques, and Laser in Sports Medicine are a few of the recent courses that Kate has taken. She is currently on the committee reviewing online continuing education courses for the Canadian Athletic Therapists Association, and plans to study Massage Therapy in the upcoming year.
Before Kate began her studies, she was a competitive volleyball player and a figure skating coach. She is very interested in total athlete development including both body and mind.
